About the Place

A short distance south of the market town of Messines, perched on top of a hill, you will find our two Windmills. The mills were built in 1848 and used as corn and olive mills.
They have been beautifully restored and extended to provide the most romantic holiday destination. They also have a private pool and stunning views to the coast.
Each mill has a double bedroom on the first floor, one of which has an en-suite shower room. The large mill has a lounge/dining room with wood burning stove, reading room, kitchen, and shower room.
It has a lovely covered BBQ terrace with table and chairs. Ideal for just sitting and watching the sunset.

Guest mill:
Lower sitting room, with two extra beds for children, with stairs leading to upper double bedroom with en-suite shower room and stairs to roof terrace with incredible 360 degree views. Outhouse in garden has washing machine and drying facilities

Within 7 days of provisional booking, a deposit of 50% of the total agreed price and the signed contract should be returned to us.
The remaining 50% must be paid no later than 6 weeks prior to the arrival date.
You will then receive a booking confirmation.
Bookings made less than 6 weeks from arrival must be paid in full at the time of booking.
A damage deposit of 250 Euro must be paid on arrival, refundable on departure.
Guests can access the property from 16.00 hours on day of arrival and must vacate the property by 10.00 on day of departure.

What else you get

We provide towels and linen, but please bring your own beach towel. A clean villa, however, we ask you to leave the property tidy at the end, no dirty dishes, and please remove your rubbish and empty bottles; We are happy to assist you with any car hire, outdoor activities, at home catering and babysitting arrangements you may need. Most villa’s, the owner supply a welcome refreshment, like a bottle of wine, some fruit, water and or some snacks and we try to have in all the villa’s information about things to do in the Algarve and local maps. We also invite you to our blog, where we inform you about things to do in the Algarve, information about the Algarve, Special offers, new villa’s we take on. You can subscribe to our blog, so you will never miss any information.

Car Hire

As you know by now, this house is in a semi rural location. In this case, we recommend a hire car or mini-bus for getting about, exploring and stocking up. We would also recommend hiring vehicles fitted with air conditioning for periods between June and September. We can take care of all of the arrangements, choose from the various options, email us your requirements, we will provide you with a fixed quote, and your car will be ready for collection at Faro airport on your arrival. You simply drop the car back at the airport when you return.
