About the Place

Casa Lavender was completed in 2006. This 3 bedroom casa Silves  is situated in a lush valley between the historic town of Silves and the market town of Messines. The quiet location is ideal for relaxing away from the maddening crowds. However it is less than 30 minutes to the beaches of the Algarve!

The casa Silves ofers a very pleasant and luxury place to stay. The villa lies close to Silves (12 km) where you can find many nice bars and restaurants and lots of festivals in the summer.

If you want to experience the real Algarve, you can find it in and around Casa Lavender. Nearby the casa Silves you can see farmers working in the fields, shepherds passing by and lots of donkeys which are still used as the main form of transport. At only a 5 minute drive from the casa Silves lies the little village of Vale Fuzeiros, a village with nice bars and restaurants where you can enjoy excellent Portuguese meals for very little money!

Accommodation

Casa Lavender has an open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen. The casa Silves is a modern style villa, set up for your convenience wehre you can relax and enjoy the Algarve. Casa Lavender has 3 large twin bedrooms all with spacious and luxury en-suite bathrooms. Once bathroom has a bath, two bathrooms have a walk-in shower. The bedrooms are warmly decorated with tasty colours.

The open kitchen of the casa Silves is very well equipped with an oven, hob and dishwasher. There is an extra utility room with washing machine. The open plan dining room, lounge and kitchen is spacious and tastefully furnished. In the lounge you will find a satellite TV, DVD and CD/radio player. A wood burner provides a pleasant and cosy warmth for the few fresh winter evenings. All rooms have airconditioning and heating units, which are available at extra costs.

Children are welcome too in this casa Silves. Casa Lavender has two cots and a high chair for the little ones.

Outside

Casa Lavender has a covered terrace and dining area overlooking the landscaped garden, which includes a huge hardwood deck, swimming pool, lawn and BBQ/dining area. In the garden of the casa Silves you will find several sunny as well as shady areas. The pool has a nice little waterfall. The name Casa Lavender goes with Lavender and the nice smell of its flowers surrounds the casa Silves!

By taking a few steps down from the covered terrace you get to the pool and BBQ area. It is a perfect place to enjoy the sun or shade while dining and wining. The fenced terrace makes this casa Silves a childfriendly villa in the Algarve.

Surroundings

Although Casa Lavender is situated in the interior of the Algarve, all necessary facilities and highlights are within small distance from the casa Silves.

Only 5 minutes away by car you find a little village called Vale de Fuzeiros, where you find 3 bars/restaurants, where they serve excellent, Portuguese food for very little money!

The old fairy-like Silves, the former Moorish capital of the Algarve, is only a few kilometres away from the casa Silves. It is a pleasant town on a hill with cobbled streets, restaurants, shops and a castle. Messines is a typical Portuguese village with an authentic centre, sunny terraces and charming cafés.

From Casa Lavender towards the beautiful coast of the Algarve is only 25 minutes by car. Here you will find lively coastal resorts as well as small fishing villages where you can still experience a Portuguese atmosphere. The coastal area of the Algarve is spectacular with its golden rock formations and attractive sandy beaches.

If you are looking for an active holiday, there are lots of possibilities for snorkeling, diving, sailing, jet skiing, walking, mountain biking, horse riding, tennis and golf. You can also go on a dolphin or jeep safari
