About the Place

Casa Silves is nice villa for rent, set amid acres and acres of orange groves in a lush valley.
Situated just east of Silves, a very nice historic town in the Algarve. From your doorstep of the casa Silves, you step into the orange fields, to pick fresh oranges for breakfast, or have a nice walk in the area. From your terrace of Casa Silves, you have nice views over 'your' valley, ideal to relax and enjoy the real Algarve. Local farmers working on the field while you zipping your freshly made orange juice!
Pedra means stone in Portuguese, Casa da Pedra means house of the stone. Why? When you arrive at the villa Silves, you will see a large stone, and the villa is named after this.

Accommodation

Casa Silves is a modern villa, with 3 bedrooms.
The casa Silves has traditional ceramic floor tiles throughout which keep the house cooler in summer and give a lovely rustic feel.
It has a large split level lounge and dining room with satellite TV, CD and DVD player.
Bedroom 1: Double bed and en-suite with bath/shower

Bedroom 3: Twin room
Both twin bedrooms of the casa Silves, share a bathroom with shower cubicle. Plus in the entrance hall is an extra guest toilet.
The kitchen of Casa da Pedra is fully fitted and equipped with washing machine and dishwasher, plus adjacent an utility room.
The lounge of casa Silves, has a wood burning fire, which keep you warm and cozy in the fresh winter months. Casa da Pedra is a nice villa for winter let!

Outside

The casa Silves has nice outside areas. From the dining/lounge area you enter a terrace with table and chairs, with very nice views over the 20 hectares of orange groves. Steps down take you to the pool area with a covered terrace with dining table and chairs, sun lounges and lush lawns and rolling hills landscape.
There is a private shaded car port that fits 2 cars.
The casa Silves has ofcourse a BBQ! The outside of Casa da Pedra are spacious, and give you a free feeling, and as there is hardly any light polution, you can watch beautiful stars in the evening!

Surroundings

Although Casa da Pedra Silves is situated in the interior of the Algarve, all necessary facilities and highlights are within small distance from the casa Silves.
The old fairy-like Silves, the former Moorish capital of the Algarve, is only a few kilometres away from the casa Silves. It’s a pleasant town on a hill with cobbled streets, restaurants, shops and a castle. Messines is a typical Portuguese village with an authentic centre, sunny terraces and charming cafés.
From the casa Silves towards the beautiful coast of the Algarve is only 15 minutes by car. Here you’ll find lively coastal resorts as well as small fishing villages where you can still experience a Portuguese atmosphere. The coastal area of the Algarve is spectacular with its golden rock formations and attractive sandy beaches.
If you are looking for an active holiday, during your stay in casa Silves, there are lots of possibilities for snorkeling, diving, sailing, jet skiing, walking, mountain biking, horse riding, tennis and golf. You can also go on a dolphin or jeep safari.
