About the Place

Casa Barreto is a holiday villa Algarve with 4 bedrooms set within the unspoilt countryside near the historic town of Silves and only 40 minutes drive from Faro airport. Surrounded by orange groves and farmland, the villa offers peace and relaxation yet is only a short drive from all the essential amenities and a variety of attractions to suit every age group.

The Accommodation

Casa Barreto Silves is built on 3 levels, providing space, privacy and comfortable surroundings for families and groups up to 8 persons.

On the ground floor is a spacious and comfortable living/dining room, with wifi access, is cool and shady in the heat of the summer and warmed by a real fire during the winter months. The open plan kitchen is modern and fully fitted and has a large breakfast bar for informal dining. A small ´snug´, with cast iron gas stove, offers a cosy reading and relaxing area. On this level there is also a guest toilet.

On the first floor of Casa Barreto Silves are 3 double and 1 twin bedroom and 2 modern bathrooms with showers and full baths. The en-suite master bedroom also enjoys its own private sun terrace with views over the garden and surrounding country side. Additionally, on the basement level there is a huge recreation room with table tennis and table football, offering entertainment in the evenings or a welcome respite from the sun during the hottest part of the day.

Outside

Casa Barreto Silves has 4000 m2 private grounds, secluded gardens with some lush lawns, surrounding the villa Silves are landscaped and offer many quiet areas for peaceful relaxation. The large terrace is perfect for outdoor dining and barbecuing under the shade of the ancient Olive and Carob trees. There is also plenty of space for sunbathing and relaxing around the swimming pool, 8 welcoming sun lounges are waiting for you! The rest of the land is completely enclosed for privacy and is planted with an abundance of fruit trees, including Orange, Lemon, Grapefruit, Olive and Almond.

The pool has a solar cover, for the fresher months.

Surroundings

Casa Barreto Silves, situated on a quiet country lane, in the heart of the Algarve countryside, yet close to all amenities. Poco Barreto is the closest village, with little supermarket, some bars and restaurants. A short drive you find fairy-like Silves, with nice castle, Roman bridge, and plenty of nice bars and restaurant. In August there is a large 10 days Medieval Festival. Large supermarkets, open 7 days a week till 10pm. Another short drive takes you to Guia with its large shopping centre with cinemas and in Guia itself is the most famous Piri Piri chicken restaurant of the Algarve. And lively fishing village Carvoeiro. With

Quinta da Pedra is situated on a quiet country lane in the heart of the Algarve countryside, yet is easily accessible from Faro Airport. Within a short drive are the historic town of Silves, Guia with it's large shopping centre and famous Piri Piri restaurants and the lively fishing village of Carvoeiro. Within 20 minutes you can reach one of many beaches along the Algarve coast from the the wide sands of Ferragudo to the intimate coves of Benagil and Albandeira. If you prefer to explore inland, head north to the quaint mountain villages and breathtaking views of Monchique. A 5 minute drive will take you to the motorway, opening up the rest of the Algarve and making the 'surfer's paradise' of the west coast easily accessible. The capital city of Lisbon is also an easy 2 1/2 drive away.
