Quinta Palmeiral is a unique quinta in Portugal. The quinta is set in one of the highest points of the ‘Serra do Algarve’ offering panoramic views across the rolling hills at the Atlantic Ocean. A pure, Portuguese athmosphere and rustic elegance in a very luxury style, that is what Quinta Palmeiral offers. The quinta Portugal is a re-built farmhouse, externally exactly as it used to be, to the finest details. Inside the farmhouse has all modern facilities, including under-floor heating and cooling.

The quinta in Portugal is a very private residence, overlooked by no one. On the same grounds there lies another large villa. This villa is closed however, and not in use. The villa lies in easy reach of all you might need. Loulé is only 5 minutes away by car. Faro Airport is only a 20 minutes drive from your quinta Portugal.

Accommodation

The quinta Portugal offers pure Portuguese, rustic elegance. Quinta Palmeiral has tall French oak doors, windows with internal shutters, pole and cane ceilings and lovely bathrooms. The time-worn, ancient floor tiles of the quinta Portugal were carefully retained and re-laid. The furniture of Quinta Palmeiral is stylish and modern and of outstanding quality.

The French oak kitchen of the quinta Portugal is very well equipped. It has a large range cooker with a four ring gas hop and wok ring, oven and grill, microwave, coffee machine, water cooker and toaster. The kitchen is open to the dining area with a table and comfortable chairs. The dining area leads you to the open space lounge area with luxurious sofas, TV, DVD and CD player.

Quinta Palmeiral has two luxury bedrooms with fitted wardrobes. One bedroom has got a double bed and en-suite bathroom with separate bath and large shower cubicle with rain shower. The second bedroom of the quinta Portugal has got twin beds. There is another bathroom with shower cubicle and guest toilet.

Outside

Quinta Palmeiral is situated at almost 6000 m2 of private grounds, offering you lots of privacy. The gardens are well established and very well designed. The gardens offer a mix of formal gardens and indigenous planting with large swatches of meadow filled with wild flowers including daisies, cornflowers and poppies. Two well maintained laws of the quinta Portugal flank the infinity salt water pool, enhancing the dramatic southerly views of the countryside to the Atlantic ocean beyond. The further west facing lawn of the quinta is a great place to sit and watch the beautiful Algarvian sunsets. Wherever possible the original trees of the quinta Portugal have been protected and retained. There are lemon, fig, olive, carob, almond, pomegranate, apricot, peach and lime trees.

The high level terraces of the quinta Portugal offer spectacular views across the gardens to the south and west. Tiered steps take you to the fruit tree gardens and the lawn below. Quinta Palmeiral has a large terrace under a suspended pergola with three rooms designed to service the pool areas. There is a kitchen with washing machine and a shower room including drench shower. A great place to start and finish your day! All these areas overlook the private gardens and infinity pool. At the back of the quinta Portugal there is a terrace with BBQ, table and chairs, also offering beautiful views. The pool has quality sun lounges, umbrellas and a nice sofa.

Surroundings

Only a few kilometres down the hill from Quinta Palmeiral you can find the delightful golden beaches of the Algarve. Lovely beach resorts to visit are Vilamoura, Quarteira, Vale de Lobo and Quinta do Lago. There are many beautiful villages and towns like the picturesque Boliqueime or the market town of Loulé. Faro has got a beautiful old centre. You can walk in the ancient narrow streets alongside the old chapels, local restaurants and wine shops. It will absolutely be a pleasure to plunge into old traditions and culture of Portugal, taste delicious food and meet friendly people.

The wonderful and varied landscape of the Algarve is full of wildness. The excellent warm climate compels you to move. You will discover beautiful hidden places and you will meet local people when you go hiking or mountainbiking in the mountains the Algarve. Horse riding and jeep safaris are other persuasive opportunities to explore the beauty of the Portuguese nature. A boat trip along the Algarvian coast with its rock formations and golden colours is also highly recommended.

The Algarve is considered to be one of the best destinations for playing golf. Hence, early in the morning when men make their way to the finest golf courses of Vilamoura, Quinta do Lago or Vale do Lobo, they should not forget to take their women… to visit the Spa & Wellness centres.
