About the Place

Small rustic 2 bedroom cottage Silves in the Algarve sits in the middle of a huge orange grove, just a few kilometres east of the historic town of Silves in Portugal. When you sit on the poolside terrace and look around you can see orange trees almost as far as the eye can see. Located in the countryside, but only 10 minutes away from historic town of Silves and 15 minutes away from nice white, sandy beaches. Casa Laranja lies on same grounds as Casa da Pedra and Casa dos Avos (both sleeps 6), so can be rent together. Needless to say, but plenty of oranges to pick for own use and juice!

Accommodation

Holiday cottage, Casa Laranja Silves has inside an open plan kitchen, dining area, and lounge with a wood burning stove, for those chilly evenings. It has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom and a shared shower room and toilet.

Casa Laranja is a basic, rustic holiday cottage in the Algarve with everything you need. The kitchen has an oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dish washer. There is an open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area with wood burning stove. Little stairs leads to the two bedrooms with shared bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. There is one double bed, and the other bedroom has twin beds.

Outside

The holiday cottage is an ideal place to relax outside, as it has nice terrace and beautiful country side views.

From the kitchen you walk outside to a partly covered terrace, overlooking the private pool and orange groves. Sun lounges, built-in BBQ, table and chairs and unspoilt views to relax and unwind, and enjoy your holiday cottage in the Algarve.

Casa Laranja, is part of the orange grove farm and built above the shed, meaning you will see and sometimes hear, the farmers work. This can be a disadvantage, but is also a charming aspect of this holiday cottage.

Surroundings

Although Casa Laranja is situated in the interior of the Algarve, all necessary facilities and highlights are within small distance from the holiday cottage.
The old fairy-like Silves, the former Moorish capital of the Algarve, is only a few kilometres away from the holiday cottage. It’s a pleasant town on a hill with cobbled streets, restaurants, shops and a castle. Messines is a typical Portuguese village with an authentic centre, sunny terraces and charming cafés.
From the holiday cottage towards the beautiful coast of the Algarve is only 15 minutes by car. Here you’ll find lively coastal resorts as well as small fishing villages where you can still experience a Portuguese atmosphere. The coastal area of the Algarve is spectacular with its golden rock formations and attractive sandy beaches.
If you are looking for an active holiday, there are lots of possibilities for snorkeling, diving, sailing, jet skiing, walking, mountain biking, horse riding, tennis and golf. You can also go on a dolphin or jeep safari.
