About the Place

Casa Arcadia is a basic cottage between Messines and Alte. Located on the same grounds as Vivenda Quirino, with own private entrance and beautiful, mature gardens. The cottage Algarve is basic, but has everything you need. Ideal location to explore the Algarve, enjoy the fine Portuguese restaurants, and the ever so friendly Portuguese local people.

Accommodation

The cottage Algarve, has two cosy bedrooms, both with double beds. The bathroom of the cottage is spacious and has a bath, shower, sink and toilet. The open plan lounge, dining and kitchen has a comfortable sofa bed, that can sleep 2 extra guests. The kitchen of the cottage Algarve, has a gas oven and hob and microwave. There are fans for the hot summer nights and electric heaters fort he fresh winter evenings.

Outside

Casa Arcadia, cottage Algarve is on the outskirts of the small market town of Messines. Here you find all amenities you need, like supermarkets, bars, restaurants, daily fruit and vegetable market.

The lounge oft he cottage leads you to a nice south facing terrace with table and chairs, looking over the pool area and the beautiful mature garden with large palm trees, yucca's and lots of nice other plants, and colorful flowers. Various areas providing places for sun and shade and a place to barbecue (electric). There is a large swimming pool with loungers and umbrellas. The pool has a dark bottom, that gives a natural look, but the water itself is like a normal pool. The pool of the cottage Algarve is large, ideal to do some laps to keep fit during your holiday in the Algarve.

Surroundings

Casa Arcadia is perfectly located for exploring the Central Algarve. The towns of Alte, Paderne, Messines and Silves are only a short car ride away fromt he cottage Algarve, and is only 20 minutes to the nearest golf courses and beaches. Alte is a picturesque village, with nice natural sources, large waterfall, and various nice bars and restaurant. Once a month a large market you find in Messines, the so called 'gypsy' market. For the Portuguese a day out, and get some bargains, but most important dress up and catching up with all locals from the area while drinking, coffee, beer and wine, and some freshly roasted chicken.

The area of the cottage Algarve is beautiful, and ideal for hiking, and enjoy the beautiful nature of the country side of the Algarve.

Other activities are within easy reach, like sailing, mountain biking, horse riding, dolphin and jeep safaris.
