Casa Barreto is a luxury 5 bedroom villa set within the unspoilt countryside near the historic town of Silves and only 40 minutes drive from Faro airport. Surrounded by orange groves and farmland, the villa offers peace and relaxation yet is only a short drive from all the essential amenities and a variety of attractions to suit every age group. Casa Barreto is built on 3 levels, providing space, privacy and comfortable surroundings for families or large groups. On the basement level there is a huge recreation room with table tennis and table football, offering entertainment in the evenings or a welcome respite from the sun during the hottest part of the day.

Master bedroom

On the ground floor is a spacious and comfortable living/dining room, cool and shady in the heat of the summer and warmed by a real fire during the winter months. The open plan kitchen is modern and fully fitted and has a large breakfast bar for informal dining. A small ´snug´, with cast iron gas stove, offers a cosy reading and relaxing area. On this level there is also one twin bedroom, with access to the garden, and a guest w.c. On the first floor are 3 double and 1 twin bedroom and 2 modern bathrooms with showers and full baths. The master bedroom also enjoys its own private sun terrace with views over the garden. Additionally, on the basement level there is a huge recreation room with table tennis and table football, offering entertainment in the evenings or a welcome respite from the sun during the hottest part of the day.

Outdoor Dining

The gardens surrounding the house are landscaped and offer many quiet areas for peaceful relaxation. The large terrace outside the kitchen is perfect for outdoor dining and barbecuing under the shade of the ancient Olive and Carob trees. There is also plenty of space for sunbathing and relaxing around the swimming pool. The rest of the land is completely enclosed for privacy and is planted with an abundance of fruit trees, including Orange, Lemon, Grapefruit, Olive and Almond.

In the surrounding hills you will find many varieties of different fruits and nuts amongst the orange, peach and lemon groves. This truly is a magical location!

Situated in the heart of the Vilamoura seaside resort a mere 20-minute drive from Faro airport, this Frank Pennink designed parkland style layout is one of the oldest in the region and renowned all over the golfing world.

Often described as the Grande Dame of Algarve courses, it meanders throughout impressive pinetrees – the principal hazard – over gently undulating natural terrain. Although it opened in 1969, the course was completely renovated and modernised 27 years later although no major changes were made to the magnificent layout.

In addition to raising the Vilamoura Old Course to new heights of quality, an attractive new clubhouse and adjacent putting green were also built at that time. As with all Vilamoura courses, environmental protection practices are strictly adhered to by means of detailed management systems in line with guidelines established by ISO 14001 standards, Green Globe and Committed to Green programmes.

There are 2 additional bedrooms, 1 double and 1 single, also en-suite. Fully fitted kitchen, lounge and dining. The L-shaped villa offers total privacy, all bedrooms overlook pool, established garden and golf course. A/C and heating throughout and inclusive. 5x/week maid service.
